Using subject terms for your search will help increase the relevancy of your results. Appropriate subject headings for your assignment include:
Sample search: Enter the subject terms. In the Search by box, use the pull-down arrow to view search options. Select Subject. Click Search.
Your list of results will include items in the Lakeland library as well as area libraries. On the left side of the screen, scroll down to the Assigned Branches section. Click on Lakeland College to limit your results to items available in the library. If Lakeland does not show as an option, click on More to view additional options.
When you find an item of interest, click on Find it on the right side of the screen to see which libraries have the book and the call number you will use to locate the book in the library.
Items available in other libraries can be sent to Lakeland for your use. To request a book, you will need a Lakeland library card. Apply for one at the library front desk. Within Monarch Catalog, locate the item you are interested in. Click on Request It on the right side of the screen. You will be prompted to log in. Enter your library barcode number and your password which is usually the last 4 digits of your phone number. The next screen asks you to select a Pickup Library. Use the pull-down arrow to access the Lakeland Library option. Click Submit Request to complete the process. You will receive an email when your item arrives.
Here are just a few of the theatre books available in the library. Use the call numbers below to locate the books in the library or ask for assistance. Evening, Weekend and Online students attending at Lakeland Centers or online may use the library's Mail a Book program. Books needed for your research will be mailed directly to your home.
