Search Term Suggestions

Here are some search terms to consider:

  • Use the name of a large company that you know uses social media extensively.
  • "social media"
  • [name of company] and "social media"
  • Search by a particular social media type like Twitter
  • "advertising campaigns"

Find Case Studies

Business Source Complete offers two methods for limiting your search to case studies.

  1. Enter your search term(s) on the search screen.  Scroll down to Search Options portion of the screen.  Under Limit your results, go to Document Type. Use the box scroll bar to reveal Case Study option.  Highlight Case Study.  Return to top and click Search
  2. Enter your search term(s) on the search screen Scroll down.  Make sure settings under Document Type are returned to All. Now move to Publication Type, on the right side of the screen. Use the box scroll bar to reveal Case Study. Hightlight Case Study.  Return to top of screen. Click Search

Note:  The library does not have access to full case studies from Harvard Business School Case Studies. In your Business Source Complete results, if an abstract (summary) for a Harvard Business School Case Study displays, click on the title.  In the record that appears, URL will link to a website for purchasing the article if you are interested.  Articles are typically around $9.00.
