Become APA Proficient

The library offers 3 different classes to help you better understand APA guidelines.  Classes are free, online and last from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. To register, email Jamie Kellner at

  1. APA Basics: covers why we cite, resources to help you cite, and how to create reference page citations for a book, a journal article, an internet site and a YouTube video.
  2. In-Text Citations: an in-depth look at common APA in-text citing questions.
  3. Academic Writer: learn to use the ACADEMIC WRITER database to set up an account, save your sources, select a research paper template, and create properly formatted APA citations.
